Foshan Xianhu Laboratory is a provincial key laboratory established by Guangdong Province. Centered on the national new energy and “the twin goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality” strategic demands, we adhere to the principle of being rooted in Foshan, radiating across Guangdong, facing the whole country, and embracing global perspectives. Focusing on two main research thrusts—hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology, and ammonia-hydrogen integrated new energy technology—the laboratory is dedicated to building a global hub for high-end talent and a source of core technologies and critical materials in ammonia-hydrogen fusion energy.
The laboratory currently boasts seven cutting-edge platforms supporting original research and core technology development, along with eight R&D centers. The laboratory hosts the Guangdong Academician Workstation and a Postdoctoral Research Workstation, forming a scientific talent team centered around academicians and supported by national-level high-end experts. Original research achievements have been published in the world-renowned journal Science, with breakthroughs in core technologies and industrialization of select outcomes. By developing strategic scientific and technological capabilities in key materials, transportation equipment for hydrogen and ammonia-hydrogen integrated energy, as well as high-temperature industrial carbon neutrality, the laboratory supports and serves the high-quality economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It strives to become a first-class national strategic scientific innovation platform of international excellence, driving advancements in hydrogen energy and ammonia-hydrogen fusion technologies.
